Recalibration requirements
Breath Alcohol Testers are devices of a scientific nature that require recalibration. Recalibration must be carried out on a regular basis at approximately every 300 to 400 blows OR at 6 Months to ensure accuracy. Only the devices in our Alcoscan range can be recalibrated.
Models fitted with a Fuel Cell Sensor can be sent in for recalibration at intervals of approximately 1000 blows.
AL2500, AL6000 Lite and AL9000 need to be returned in order for a calibration service to be completed whereas Pre-calibrated sensors can be supplied for AL6000 Standard, AL6000 P, AL7000 and AL3100 models for fitment on one's own. The AT118 and AT128 devices should be replaced with new devices when calibration is required.
Calibration Certificates are provided after a recalibration service has been completed.
